What is an "Ikariam Pirate"?
In traditional naval strategy, you fight to control the seas. In Ikariam, a pirate fights from the seas. Unlike a warmonger who conquers towns and occupies capitals, the Ikariam Pirate is a raider. You do not want your enemy’s cities (they come with maintenance costs and riots); you want their resources, their cargo ships, and their tears.
