Method 2: Use the "Forgot Password" Feature (Generate a Code)

Alternative: Firmware Reflash (Advanced)

If the hardware reset fails (rare, but possible on some locked OEM boards), the only remaining DIY method is reflashing the firmware via the serial console (UART) port on the board. This requires soldering, a USB-to-TTL adapter, and firmware files from Tronitek support. This is not recommended for average users. The default admin password for most Tronitek DVRs

• Connect a monitor to the DVR.
• The system will ask you to set a new password on first boot. Leave it blank or set a simple one like 123456.
