Programming / Installing Crystals

  1. Remove top and bottom covers (6 screws each).
  2. Locate the crystal matrix board (12 pairs of sockets).
  3. Install Tx crystal in left socket of pair; Rx crystal in right socket.
  4. Slight trimming (optional): Each channel has a small trimmer capacitor (C1–C12) to adjust Rx frequency ± few kHz.
  5. Do not transmit without an antenna – the final transistor (2SC1307) is expensive to replace.
