Step 3: Install BEFORE connecting USB (or connect via Wi-Fi)
- Do not plug in the USB cable yet.
- Run the installer as Administrator.
- The software will ask you to connect the scanner. Now plug in the USB or select Wi-Fi setup.
- The installation will push firmware to the scanner's touch screen. This takes 5-10 minutes. Do not power off the device.
- Quick-review screen shows thumbnails, allows drag-and-drop reordering, split/merge, rotate, and manual OCR re-run on selected pages.
- Batch-edit metadata (date, tags, document type, custom fields).
