Spotify on PS3 is no longer officially supported, but you can still get it running using a PKG (Package) file if your console is running custom firmware (CFW) or PS3HEN.
As of July 7th, 2023, the official Spotify app is no longer supported or available for download on the PlayStation 3 through the PlayStation Store. However, users with modded consoles (running Custom Firmware or HEN) can still use Spotify by installing a specific PKG file and "casting" music from a mobile device. - Some custom firmware setups allow you to access a limited web browser.
- The PS3’s web browser is outdated and cannot run modern Spotify Web Player (which requires Widevine DRM and WebRTC).
- Result: Fails to load.
- It stopped working around 2017–2018 due to API changes.
- Even if you find the old PKG, it will not connect to Spotify anymore.

Q: Can I install an Android Spotify APK converted to PKG?
A: No. The PS3 uses a PowerPC Cell architecture, not ARM. Android apps cannot run natively without full OS emulation (which doesn’t exist). Some custom firmware setups allow you to access
