• Large Object Heap (LOH) improvements: Prior to 4.5.2, the LOH never compacted, leading to memory fragmentation in long-running services. 4.5.2 added the ability to manually compact the LOH via GCSettings.LargeObjectHeapCompactionMode.
• Async over Async: In WinForms and WPF on Windows 7, the SynchronizationContext was notoriously lock-prone. 4.5.2 backported ConfigureAwait(false) optimizations that prevent deadlocks when waiting on UI threads.
