Step-by-Step Login

  1. Go to mybama.ua.edu
  2. Click "Faculty/Staff" tab (if not already selected)
  3. Enter your UA username (usually first part of your @ua.edu email)
  4. Enter your myBama password
  5. Click Log In
  6. Complete Duo two-factor authentication (required for all employees)

Part 5: Mobile Access – The myBama App

The University of Alabama offers a native mobile app for iOS and Android (search "UA myBama"). However, note that the employee functionality is limited compared to the desktop version. To access your myBama employee dashboard and manage

Request Time Off (Salaried)

  1. Time & Leave > Request Absence
  2. Select absence type (vacation, sick, personal)
  3. Enter dates and hours
  4. Submit for supervisor approval

Pay Information: Access current and historical pay stubs, as well as direct deposit settings. Go to mybama

Recommendation: Use the mobile app for quick checks, but do heavy HR lifting on a desktop or laptop using Chrome or Firefox (Edge works, Safari is not recommended).
