Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS) is an advanced Distributed Control System (DCS)

Key features include:

Check Controller Redundancy: In System Management, ensure both "A" and "B" controllers are "Ready." (A common fail: One controller's battery is dead).
Check Server Hard Drive Space: Experion logs fill drives quickly. Below 10% free space, stations will crash.
Review the Alarm Summary: Are there 500 stale alarms? Suppress nuisance alarms via Alarm Rationalization (right-click -> Suppress).
Check FTE Ports: On the controller chassis, ensure both green "LINK" lights are solid.
Time Sync: Ensure all stations show the exact same time. Time drift kills history.
