GenplusDroid’s cheat system is somewhat rigid. By default, the emulator looks for cheat files in a specific hard-coded directory on your device (often something like GenplusDroid/cheats). This means you cannot simply keep a cheat file in the same folder as your ROM and expect it to load automatically; the emulator won't "see" it unless it is in the correct designated folder.
