  1. Sit upright; breathe low and easy.
  2. Hum at comfortable pitch with lips gently closed; gently feel vibration in the front of the face.
  3. Add a breathy “h” onset: /h/ + vowel → aim for minimal false fold engagement.
  4. Produce a sustained /i/ on middle pitch, alternating breathy → balanced onset; notice vibration and airflow.
  5. Practice downward and upward glides while maintaining balanced onset.
