To get your ScanSnap iX500 back in action, you’ll need to download the correct software package from the official Ricoh (formerly Fujitsu) support site. Fujitsu does not provide official Linux drivers for the iX500. However, the iX500 is a standard Twain or SANE-compliant device. You will need to use SANE (Scanner Access Now Easy) .
