- Red to Zebra: Standard bloons that split into smaller bloons when popped.
- Lead: Immune to sharp objects (darts, shurikens). Requires explosions, fire, or acid.
- Camo: Invisible to most towers unless paired with a Radar Scanner or specific upgrades (like Ninja Monkey's Seeking Shuriken).
- Purple: Immune to energy, fire, and plasma attacks. Magic monkeys struggle here.
- MOAB-Class: Massive Ornary Air Blimps. These are the bosses of the game. They have massive health pools and spawn children bloons upon death (MOAB, BFB, ZOMG, and the terrifying DDT, which moves incredibly fast and has Camo/Lead properties).
Yet the difficulty is hidden in plain sight. Maps are not just backdrops; they are active constraints. Another Brick forces lane splitting. Dark Castle offers tiny chokepoints but exposes towers to early camo leads. Infernal has a moving track. The map itself becomes a third axis of strategy, alongside tower choice and upgrade path.
