1. Close AutoCAD and related applications.
2. Verify AutoCAD 2010 bitness: open AutoCAD -> Help -> About to confirm 32-bit vs 64-bit. Use matching language pack.
3. Run the language pack installer as Administrator (right-click -> Run as administrator).
4. Follow the installer prompts: accept license terms, select destination (defaults to existing AutoCAD 2010 installation), and choose whether to install localized Help if offered.
5. Complete installation and reboot if prompted.
6. Launch AutoCAD 2010. The UI should appear in French. If UI did not change, see troubleshooting below.
