Overview of Arcade VST by SoftProber

Arcade VST is a virtual instrument plugin developed by SoftProber. It's designed to provide users with a wide range of high-quality, ready-to-use presets that emulate various sounds, often described as reminiscent of classic arcade games, but also potentially suitable for modern productions.

Prerequisites:

  • Output Arcade (Active subscription).
  • A DAW (Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro X, or Cubase).
  • A Scripting Middleware: For PC, use AutoHotkey (free). For Mac, use Keyboard Maestro or BetterTouchTool.

Technique C: Rhythmic Gating

Use the SoftProber’s internal "CPU Cycle" LFO. In old hardware, the CPU speed affected the sample rate. Map the LFO to the sample-rate reduction. As the LFO speeds up, your melody turns from a clean tone into a glitchy, bit-crushed mess, and then back again—perfect for trap builds.
